We offer a range of tablets and injectables alongside healthy living advice – our Pharmacist will advise you of the most appropriate option after a careful risk assessment.

Our pharmacists are here to help you select the most suitable weight loss medication and provide coaching to support lifestyle changes, ensuring sustainable and lasting weight loss results.

In addition, our pharmacy teams work alongside a dedicated dietitian who can offer extra guidance throughout your weight loss journey.

The weight loss medications available as part of this service may come with some common side effects, but our team will provide expert advice to help minimise and manage these effectively.

The weight loss service is a long-term commitment, with most patients taking part for at least 16 weeks to 6 months (depending on the product chosen). Our pharmacist will follow your progress and help ensure you stay on track with your treatment and lifestyle goals.

Patients eligible for our weight loss service:

• those over 18 years

• those with a BMI of 30 or over for white descent, and 27 and over for African and south-Asian descent, or with other co-morbidities such as hypertension

• those not already in the NHS weight loss program

Patients not eligible:

• pregnant or breastfeeding patients

• those who do not need the BMI criteria outlined above

• those with eating disorders

• already using other weight loss medications

• those with type 1 or type 2 (medication controlled) diabetes
