Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common virus that infects the lungs and airways. Most children get it by age 2. In healthy older children and adults, symptoms are usually mild and similar to a common cold.

During your appointment, one of our trained healthcare professionals will talk you through the RSV vaccine, answer any questions you may have, and check your medical history to ensure the vaccine is right for you.

The vaccination itself is quick and typically given as a single injection in the upper arm. You may be asked to stay for a short period afterward for observation. The whole process usually takes no more than 15–20 minutes.
