Patients ineligible for this service:

• Patients less than 2 years old

• Those with a known hypersensitivity to a previous vaccine

• Those who have previously received a meningitis ACWY vaccine less than 5 years ago (we can still supply certificates for these patients)

When you come in for the consultation, our pharmacist will conduct a risk assessment to determine if it is safe for you to receive the vaccination.

Once we confirm there are no contraindications or reasons to postpone, we will proceed with administering the vaccination.

Additionally, we will provide you with safety advice and ask you to remain in the pharmacy for 15 minutes afterward to monitor for fainting or any adverse reactions.

The Meningitis ACWY vaccine is a single dose vaccine that can be given every 5 years. The vaccine is £75, if you require a certificate only, our consultation fee is £20.
